Bedrock is a block found at the very,very bottom of maps. It is indestructible, even to a Adamantium pickaxe.
This block shares it's indestructible property with Metal Bar, but unlike Metal Bar, it is only foun in a specific area of the world.
"Bedrock" is simply a practical name. It's true name is not confirmed yet.
